With the Air Motion Design Concept, Volvo has entered Los Angeles Design Challenge. It is only a scale model. This car is powered by air turbines which float 1000ft in the air and also convert the wind to electricity. Compression is provided by the electricity. The interior have been simplified to further keep the vehicle light. The need for cooling systems is removed because these air motors would cool down under load rather than heating up. The car uses fewer and lighter components.

The exterior is designed like a clamshell that is a body made from carbon fiber and can hold up to four people. The internal engine is replaced by compressed air motors. Theses motors cool down instead of heating up when it is under load, making heavy cooling systems unnecessary for the vehicle.

The car looks very unique and it delivers a good driving experience. It is aimed at the driving enthusiast which looks at the safety of the passenger.
