Volvo designed the S60 and V60 R Design enhanced versions which besides looking better than the stock models, also offer improved driving dynamics.The Swedish company is expecting that 10 percent of S60 and V60 customers will want an R-Design version Volvo S60 V60, and market launch for these factory tuned variants will start in autumn 2011.
The car has two chassis, the difference between the two chassis is to be found in the dampers and the front and rear subframes. Here the touring variant has a somewhat softer setting to give a smooth ride on poorer road surfaces. The dynamic new chassis is backed up by a range of electronic systems that sharpen the sporty driving experience still further. This means, that the new V60 will be the first sports wagon fitted with Advanced Stability Control. Under the hood we will find a powerful 3.0 liter T6 petrol engine capable to deliver an impressive 304 bhp and 440 Nm of toque capable to push the car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.6 seconds and to provide a top speed of 250 km/h (electronically limited).
